摘要

Virtual loop sensors can be used in traffic video processing for detecting each lane's vehicle passage. This is an idea that is going to use video image data as a sensor input, to make measurement hardware brief. In this paper, the temporal velocity measurement method of placing two loop sensors is compared with the method of carrying out spatial velocity measurement from the movement of spatial projection form of vehicles. Experimental results turn out that it is much easy to use the temporal feature of vehicles from the spatial feature, in order for not only velocity measurement but also vehicles detection and type distinction.
