Analysis of traffic flow dynamics at signalized intersections

This paper studies the analysis of the traffic flow dyamics at signalized intersections based on the volume balance. The volume balance is held for each lane at each signalized intersection for a certain duration. As the measure of the traffic flow smoothness, the saturation degree, congestion length time and outgoing ratio are defined in this paper. These measures of the traffic flow smoothness. The traffic flow dynamics is analyzed using these measures of the traffic flow smoothness and the volume balance.
