摘要

Several reports of contact dermatitis caused by electro-cardiography (ECG) electrodes have been published in the literature. The most commonly identified allergens werepropylene glycol, colophonium, acrylates, and p-tert-butylphenol formaldehyde resin (PTBP-F-R). We report here on a case of contact dermatitis in a 1-year-old girl caused by Kendall Kittycat Foam 4203? ECG electrodes. Colophonium and modified rosins were the culprit allergens. A herbal extract that could be identified during chemical analysis of the electrodes was perhaps also implicated (Table 1).
