The Strategic War Planning System (SWPS) is an operational system development program for the US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) with the objective of preparing the US for various war scenarios, ranging from nuclear war to conventional low-intensity conflicts to terrorism. It involves the extensive collection of worldwide database information through numerous Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C{sup}4I) systems.
