High-Speed Photographic Recording Equipment for Recording Nuclear Explosions and Other Fast Processes

摘要

This paper describes optical devices designed at the Special Department of the Institute of Chemical Physics(Institute of Earth Physics earlier)to record physical processes accompanying nuclear explosions.Many of them have been used as standard equipment in nuclear-weapon tests.2004 marks 100 years since the birth of M.A.Sadovskii,one of the leaders of the nuclear project,who combined the qualities of a research supervisor and an expert in the field of explosion physics with a clear understanding of the feasibility of practical implementation of research problems.Thig allowed him to solve complex challenges related to developing and testing nuclear weapons.
