Developed at the Urals State University, this new smooth-stalked meadowgrass [Poa pratensis] cultivar produces green, virtually anthocyanin and wax-free, pubescent, moderately wide leaves. It is winter hardy, resistant to drought and trampling, and is profusely tillering. Vagant is recommended for pastures and as a turf grass.
