Hammond expands into micro-hybrid technology

Hammond Expanders, producers of pre-btended expanders for lead-acid batteries, has created a range of products that work to overcome the problems of dynamic charge acceptance associated with micro-hybrid vehicle batteries. The traditional expander blends using carbon black, lignosulfonate and barium sulphate, have not been fully sufficientto meet the demands of dynamic charge acceptance. The new expander blend uses a significantly higher amount of advanced carbons in the mix to achieve desired performance characteristics.
