Milsubishi Chemical is proceeding with projects to expand its overseas production of the four core lithium-ion-battery components: electrolyte solutions, anode materials, cathode materials and separators.For electrolyte solutions it will construct new plants and expand existing plants at four sites in Yokkaichi, Japan, in the UK, in the US and in China to bring its total output capacity to 43 500 t/y by the end of 2012.
