Having killed off the source of supply of motive power for E-bikes, the Chinese government are set on killing the demand for it. China's city of Shenzhen, in southern Guangdong province, will ban electric bicycles (e-bikes) from using most roads from this month— a move that could cut demand for lead-acid batteries.
