Li salt at heart of electrolyte study

摘要

Scientists are working on a liquid electrolyte to boost performance and safety of lithium-ion batteries. The team from The University of Tennessee aims to develop electrochemically and thermally stable polymer electrolytes with dc conductivities above iomS/ cm at room temperature using an ionic liquid system based on lithium salts combined with organic additives.
