In the end of 1999 new slag refinery was started at Chusovskoy metallurgical plant (CMZ) The main product of the new refinery is road-metal of different factions. Metal concentrate that can be used in blast furnaces is extracted from it using magnetic separation. Still a slight reduction of hearth productivity when this concentrate is used was noticed. This must be cuase by the presence of titanium in the concentrate.
