Tectonic and stratigraphic evolution of nonmarine basins of China

摘要

The nine papers in this special issue of Basin Research re- ￡ect the geologic diversity of the International Conference on Non-Marine Basin Systems: Depositional Processes and Products, Stratigraphy, and Petroleum Reservoir Exploration, held in Beijing on May 10^12, 2007.The conference was organized by the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development (PetroChina), Stanford University, The Committee of Sedimentary Geology of the Geological Society of China,TheCommittee of Sedimentology of the Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, and Changqing Oil￠eld Company (PetroChina). China National Petroleum Corporation and PetroChina Company Limited sponsored the conference, which featured 131 speakers in nine sessions and was attended by more than 200 scientists from seven countries. The conference was followed by two ￠eld trips that examined Cretaceous fan-delta deposits and sequence stratigraphy of the Luangping basin north of Beijing, and UpperTriassic ￡uvial-deltaic depositional systems and sequence stratigraphy of the Ordos Basin nearYan’an.
