ARTBA survey finds 'Ike' transportation's person of the 20th century

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association has tipped its hat to one of the architects behind the most significant market catalyst in U.S. construction history. Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969) was named ARTBA's "Transportation Person of the 20th Century" by for his leadership and vision in creating the Interstate Highway System. The announcement was made June 25 at ARTBA's 100th Anniversary Dinner at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.
