Monitran establishes research and development arm

Monitran Ltd, a UK-based company that develops and manufactures sensors for measuring vibration and displacement, has established Monitran Technology as its formal research and development arm. Monitran says that the new company will concentrate on designing products that exploit the use of new materials, technologies and techniques, particularly where joint ventures or knowledge transfer partnerships are involved. Several such links are already being formed with leading industrial organisations and academic institutions.
