US Army selects GE to aid development of integrated corrosion monitoring system

In the USA, GE Aviation Systems LIc, an operating unit of General Electric Co (GE), has been selected by the US Army to work with the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) to research, develop and apply the technology behind an integrated corrosion health monitoring system (I-CHMS) for rotorcraft fleets. The contract is valued at USD2 million and will cover a two-year period of rotorcraft research and monitoring.
