Possibilities of heat pump utilization in district heating systems of the greatest Lithuanian cities

Heat pump utilization in systems aforementioned possibilities are shown in the article, striving for modern ways of updating district heating systems to decrease heat production costs. It is disclosed, that employment of heat pumps enables to reduce heat production costs (in comparison with heat generation in traditional boilers), to achieve considerable savings of organic fuel (for the same amount of heat produced) and to reduce accordingly environmental pollution.
