摘要

The NRD guide consists of rectangular shaped dielectric strips inserted in a below cutoff parallel metal plate waveguide. The modes can be classified into the LSM and LSE modes, where the former is featured by the magnetic fields in parallel to the air-dielectric surface and the latter is featured by the electric fields in parallel to the same surface. In this paper, the transition between the low permittivity NRD guide with the LSM mode transmission and the high permittivity NRD guide with the LSE mode transmission has been optimized theoretically and the validity has been demonstrated experimentally. Based on the fabricated transition. antennas for multiple access LAN use and a flexible transmission line which can be changed into various shapes such as 180 degree bend and S-shaped curve have been developed at 60 GHz.
