摘要

A virtual hardware is a mechanism which realizes large scale circuits with a dynamic reconfigurable small logic. Although this mechanism has been just in research papers, recent advanced FPGA/CFLD devices with dynamic reconfigurable mechanism has changed it into a real system. Especially, a multi-context FPGA which provides multiple configuration memory modules strongly supports this idea. The first part of this report is a survey of dynamic reconfigurable devices which can he used for a virtual hardware. Then as examples, our projects WASMIIJ/HOSMII are introduced. In these projects, a virtual hardware is realized based on a dynamically reconfigurable multi-context device with a data driven control mechanism.
