摘要

An approach to the gas chromatographic study of polymeric sorbents was developed.Polymeric materials were considered as carriers of an uniform sorption field for which retention characteristics of sorbates are especially strongly dependent on the sorbent coverage.To describe the sorption properties of polymers,it was proposed to use chromatographic retention characteristics corresponding to final amounts of a sorbate.Methods for organizing a chromatographic run and processing experimental data were disclosed,which allow the retention volumes of a low-molecular-mass substance referred to a certain sorbate concentration in the gas or the polymer phase to be obtained.A series of chemically different polymers:hydrophobic poly(vinyltrimethysilane),moderately hydrophilic aromatic sulfonated polyamides,and hydrophilic polyelectrolyte complexes of chitosan and poly(acrylic acid) was studied.The isotherms and isosteric chromatographic and thermodynamic parameters of sorption of organic compounds of various classes on these sorbents were calculated;temperature ranges corresponding to changes in the structure of polymers were determined;and the dependence of sorption properties on the composition of polymeric materials was revaled.
