Message to the Japanese Researchers

摘要

The aim of this contribution is to help authors develop a better understanding of the publishing process. This will be of benefit not only to the authors, but also to the reviewers and editor. A description is given of what happens to a manuscript once it is submitted as it passes from the editor to reviewers, editor, authors, editor, and finally to the publisher. Points to which authors should pay particular attention are raised in order to assist the editor and the reviewers and, thus, speed up the process. Furthermore, subjects such as honesty, novelty, and quality are discussed.
