Analytical solutions of EIS responses and the potential decay after current interruption were derived by taking into account the migration of ions in the electrolyte solution, and they were applied to calculate the theoretical responses of LiSB electrodes and separators. EIS responses of ion transport in the electrolyte solution inside the electrode composite showed the Nernst impedance of finite mass transfer thickness and appeared at very low frequencies around 10mHz - 100mHz. The EIS at such frequencies could not be attributed to the active material. Potential decay after current interruption provided much easier solution for internal resistance and performance loss of LiSB.
