摘要

Direct synthesis of dimethyl ether from synthesis gas is being developed, and a pilot plant is unden construction now. Although the reaction has several problems such as no presence of an effective catalyst on which dimethyl ether can be produced directly, thermodynamic limitation, and large amount of heat production, these problems has been solved by using the hybrid catalyst and the slurry phase process. It is expected that novel technology will be developed for utilizing dimethyl ether as a new material for energy and the distribution system of it will be arranged.
