摘要

Metal-modified clay catalysts have received much attention as the environmentally benign and reusable catalysts because of its ease of preparation, handling and separation. Acidic or basic clays themselves can be used as solid catalysts for the simple acid- or base-catalyzed organic reactions, while clay catalysts modified by the metal cation exchange or by anchoring the metal complex can be used for various wider and more useful organic synthesis by employing their unique catalytic properties.
