Design of asymmetric catalyst without chiral ligand

摘要

In order to prevent the inherent racemization of two-legged piano-stool ruthenium arene complexes which are chiral atthe metal center, a new class of ligands was designed andsynthesized. Inspired by Troger's base, anchoring aconfigurationally labile chiral center into a "rigid" bicyclicframework results in a configurationally stable complex whichpossesses electronically asymmetric ligands as two legs.
