摘要

It is possible to obtain a complete characterization of the limit sets of some dass-3 cellular automaton rules, and define ideal configurations and defects. These defects combine between themselves according to laws which have been determined. The influence of a block transformation on limit sets and defects is studied. Considerations from formal language theory help to describe limit sets and determine entropies and Hausdorff dimensions.
