摘要

Self-affine structures often emerge from surface growth. In a family of models an effective long range interaction causes a kinetic roughening transition. The fact that this transition is triggered by directed percolation allows to determine the exponent of anomalous roughness at the critical point and to relate the cluster shapes to percolation exponents. Simultanously a relation between d-dimensional percolation and d - 1-dimensional Eden-type growth is established leading to an exact result in three dimensions.
