Theoretical conformational analysis was applied to examine the spatial structure of the pentapeptide Asp-Ser-Asp-Pro-Arg and several nested peptides related to the active center of human immunoglobulin E and capable of suppressing the immunoglobulin binding to mast cells. The results of conformational analysis and the biological testing data were used to determine the conformational characteristics of these peptides that provide for their specific binding to the mast cell receptors.
