Calculation method of exhaust mass emissions by using tail-pipe exhaust gas at transient mode

The procedure of exhaust mass emissions by using tail-pipe exhaust gas was proposed as follows. (1) The analyzer response lag can be corrected by using z-transform. (2) The fuel flow rate can be calculated by the air fuel ratio and intake air flow rate. (3) The air fuel ratio can be calculated by CO{sub}2, CO and HC concentrations corrected by this method. (4) The exhaust mass emissions can be measured by using the exhaust gas concentrations and intake air flow rates.
