Combustion test on vehicle hood panels

摘要

After a fierce vehicle fire, the vehicle portions other than steel frames and panels are mostly burnt down. Therefore, these structures are the valuable sources of clues for the cause of the fire, and it is beneficial to know the effects ofheating temperature on the surfaces of the panels. We analyzed remnants, cross-sectional micro-structure, hardness, etc. at the surface of the hood panels after the burning tests.
