摘要

This paper theoretically investigates and assesses the temperature crack preventing effect of low-heat cement and insulation form curing for a dam constructed by the extended layer concreting method. The accuracy of the analysis is verified by actual measurement of the temperature and stress of concrete. Low-heat cement was found to reduce the risk of temperature cracking when compared with normal Portland cement. Insulation form curing in winter is also found effective in reducing the superficial stress and expediting strength development for concrete.
