Specimens were cured by the newly developed wet curing mat for concretes which used water absorptivity polymer and water swelling urethane, and these effects were examined. Tests were conducted to study the effects of wet curing mat on various relative humidity near the surface, porosity, pullout strength, freezing thawing resistance, carbonation depth and chloride ion depth using concrete specimens with three levels of water cement ratio. From the examination, when using the wet curing mat, the relative humidity near the surface increased and the moisture retentivity by the wet curing mat was confirmed. Then, pull-out strength, freeze-thaw resistance and chloride ion penetration resistance were improved due to the improved porosity for dense structure. However, the pronounced effect for improvement of the carbonation speed was not clear.
