摘要

In this study, we studied the thickening construction method, which is in practical use as a general flexural reinforcing construction method to improve the flexural behavior of RC members, and experimentally investigated the flexural reinforcing effect of RC beams using polymer cement mortar, which is generally used as a thickening material, and using polyethylene-fiber-reinforced polymer cement mortar created by dispersing and mixing the short fibers of polyethylene into polymer cement mortar. As a result, it was experimentally confirmed that using polyethylene-fiber-reinforced polymer cement mortar as a thickening material improves the bond splitting strength of the reinforcing rebars inside the thickened portion, so that the flexural reinforcing effect is increased markedly.
