Colorimetric parameters of maize mutants seeds as affected by endosperm

Influence of endosperm mutations on maize seed colour was investigated using colorimetric and reflectance parameters. Variation degree of this characteristic, depending on mutation type, was determined. Correlative dependence of optical parameters on carotenoid content was shown. Genotypes with similar pigment accumulation were determined using claster analysis of seed spectral parameters.
