Biological activity of saponins

摘要

The review is dedicated to the problem of biological activity of saponins. Allelopathic activity of this group of compounds was given special attention. Data of the investigation of the recent years in the sphere of allelopathic activity of alfalfa (Medic, ago sativa L,) and vigna (Vigna radiata L.) saponins are cited. Besides, a short review of extraction and purification procedures is given.
