Vitality composition of Amaranthus retroflexus L. populations in potato crops and on fallow land

In field trials in 1994-96 in Russia, an analysis of the quality of stands of Amaranthus retroflexus in potato crops and on fallow land showed that the most favourable conditions for the development of A. retroflexus was in potato crops. On fallow land the density of other perennial plants retarded the development of A. retroflexus plants, resulting in patchy growth of A. retroflexus seedlings.
