摘要

Hybrids obtained from sib crosses and backcrosses involving 18 lines, owing to their heterosis for the main economic traits and for pollen production, were found promising as the pollen parents of extra-early and early hybrids. The modified pollinators did not differ from the basic lines in combining ability and allowed hybrids to be obtained that were on a par with 3-way hybrids in potential yield. Sib crosses gave a better combination of yield and uniformity and proved superior to backcrosses foruse in breeding.
