The role of humic substances in enzymatic destruction of organic matter

Published and obtained data on enzymatic hydrolysis in the presence of humic substances are reviewed. We studied the role of humic acids as sorbents and possible substrates for hydrolytic enzymes, particularly, proteases with various specificity.
