A case of unusual age structure in the pied flycather (Ficedula hypoleuca) in Russian North-West

Unusual age structure was revealed in Ficedula hypoleuca Pall. in the Russian Noah-West based on the results of: two years (1994-1995)investigating its local population. Contrary to the previous publications, the rate of"old" males (at the age of more than I year) was 72-78% in the population. Among the males taking part in reproduction this rate was 77-84.6%. Age structure of females did not differ from the previously published data.
