On tabanid fauna (Diptera, Tabanidae) of the Zilair Plateau [Russian]

Twenty-eight tabanid species were recorded in the Zilair Plateau (the Southern Urals, Republic of Bashkortostan). The most abundant species are Tabanus bromius bromius, T. cordiger, Hybomitra bimaculata, Haematopota pluvialis, Chrysops pictus, and Chr. caecutiens caecutiens. T. maculicornis, T. autumnalis, Silvius vituli, T. sudeticus, Chr. relictus, and others occurred less frequently. Haematopota crassicornis, Hybomitra kaurii, Chr. flavipes flavipes, Heptatoma pellucens pellucens were single. Most of the species are referred to the Euro-Siberian forest faunistic complex, one species, Haematopota pallidula, to the Afro-European and steppe faunistic complex.
