摘要

The size and numbers of some ectoparasitic species in fish, of monogenea in particular, are shown to be characters of their adaptation to the environment. The study of the gill parasitocenoiss in the beam showed that larger-sized species were less abundant than smaller-sized ones. A statistically significant negative correlation between the size and numbers of parasites in the gill parasitocenosis was established. The larger parasites were found to be more adaptive to anthropogenic pollution of the environment that is manifested in their greater number.
