Structure of soil-dwelling microarthropod communities (Collembola, Oribatida) in Mountainous Daghestan [Russian]

The paper summarizes results of studying the soil microarthropod fauna in southern highmountain Daghestan (2950-3080 m above sea level). Sixty-five species of oribatids and 27 species of collembolans were found in the region investigated. The structure of microarthropod communities, seasonal dynamics of abundance, and vertical and horizontal distribution of microarthropods in soil was studied.
