Currently, full duplex Ethernet normally uses the pause frames for congestion control as specified in IEEE802.3x. The selective-back-pressure congestion control has been proposed as an enhancement version of this congestion control and has been reported that it can provide higher throughput than the conventional method. However, when there exist stations which cannot accept this congestion control, they would achieve a poor throughput. In this paper, we propose two methods which solve this problem and evaluate performance of these methods by using a computer simulation.
