Multiple desmoplastic trichoepitheliomas with ossification and cholesterol deposition.

A 51-year-old Japanese man presented with a 20-year history of two annular plaques on the face. There was no history of traumatic injury preceding these growths and his other medical history was not relevant. On physical examination, each plaque was found to be annular, hard and skin-coloured, with a depressed centre and raised edge, measuring 12 x 11 mm on the forehead (Fig. 1, arrow) and 10 x 9 mm on the glabella (Fig. 1, arrowhead). Results of laboratory tests were normal.
