Ebara's RHSCW_M Series HFC-134a Screw Modular Chiller, a space-conserving chiller which uses HFC-l34a (R-l34a) -- a zero-ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) refrigerant -- has been released into the market. The global warming effect by this chiller is minimized to the extreme, a feat accomplished by a reduction in the volume of the refrigerant and economical operation control. The installation space of one 60 HP chiller module is only 58% of that of conventional chillers, and a number of modules couldbe interconnected to form an array. The chiller is ideal as a replacement for or addition to an existing chiller facility, which has only limited installation space. The chiller includes a chilling/heating, double-point setting function for use with anice/hot water storage system, as well as economical control and continuous control functions. Such functions are optional in conventional chillers. Its chilled water (brine) outlet temperature range is -15℃～+l5℃ and its hot water outlet temperature,during a heat pump operation, is 40℃～65℃. Furthermore, its stainless steel heat exchanger functions as a safe and stable source of hot water. The life of its bearings, based on chiller conditions, is 40000 hours. Noise prevention techniques haveachieved a low noise (67 dB(A)) chiller operation.
