Fractionation of the grain load by postharvest seed treatment.

摘要

The potential for obtaining high quality seed fractions by using the air-sieve system of grain cleaning was investigated. Grain loads from combine harvested winter wheat cultivars Voronezhskaya 95 and Bezenchukskaya were put through a seed cleaner which used sieves and blown air to separate the load according to grain size, aerodynamic properties and density. Weed seeds and small, non-viable grains were eliminated. Fraction sizes depended on the speed of the air flow.
