SM Patients with MMR-d CRC exhibit better prognosis than those with MMR-proficient (MMR-p) tumors.3 In patients with MMR-d tumors, single-agent fluoropy-rimidine (5-FU)-based therapy is not beneficial and may even be detrimental.4 In stage II colon cancer, testing for MMR-d is one of the risk assessment modalities used to make decisions regarding adjuvant use of single-agent, 5-FU-based treatment.
