摘要

In this paper, completely thin-film based coupled two-cavity allpass filters are realized for dispersion-slope compensation. Good agreement is shown between the theory and experiment. Dispersion-slope compensation, variable between -4.5ps{sup}3 and -12.Ops{sup}3, is achieved by cascading two allpass filters over a compensation bandwidth that varies between 2.4mn and 1.2nm respectively. The cascaded filters are shown to adequately compensate the dispersion-slope of 60km of dispersion shifted fiber for incident 1.6ps pulse trains at 1 550nm. The center wavelength is tunable over a 12nm range.
