摘要

In order to provide basic consideration to realize methods predicting an electromagnetic (EM) radiation from a printed circuit board (PCB) with plural signal traces, characteristics of the EM radiation resulting from plural signal traces on the PCB are investigated in this paper experimentally and with numerical modeling. The frequency responses of EMI such as common-mode (CM) current and far-electric field in the plural signal traces case can be identified using the acquired insight from the single trace case. By calculating the distributions of the current density on the ground plane, and comparing the EMI level of four different models, an empirical formula to quantify the relationship between the position of plural traces and CM current are provided.
