USING IR-DEVICES IN MONITORING THE SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY OF POWER EQUIPMENT AND POWER PLANTS

The prospects for using IR-devices in monitoring the safety of operation of power units and plants are discussed. The basic conditions are found under which IR-equipment, specifically, IR-detectors, can detect fire hazardous and process violations in the production, conversion, and transfer of heat and electricity. It is demonstrated that IR-devices can monitor environmentally unsound technologies (for detecting harmful effluents and emissions). The specification for IR-instruments designed to monitor the safety and efficiency of power equipment and plants is presented.
