Determination peculiarities of unit auxiliaries electric power consumption of gas turbine and combine cycle power plants

In analysing schemes and efficiency of gas turbine, gas engine and combine cycle power plants in real-life environment it is important to take into account unit auxiliaries electric power consumption. One of the main consumers of auxiliaries electric power consumption at the power stations under consideration is fuel gas booster compressors. The necessity of their installation influences essentially the efficiency parameters and also the value of capital investments in the equipment of the power station. This article deals with characteristics and application features of the main types of compressor equipment. The recommendations for the calculation of net efficiency of the indicated types of power stations are given.
